November 2008

Here we go.
The Bad Terrorists have had a short break.
Lots of important events coming up.

BIG EVENT NO.1

The first official Bad Terrorist release.
A 5cd release on 10th November.
This collection will comprise the work of Bob Breeks, Bad Terrorists and The Drug Co, from the last 2 years.
Nothing then all at once.

CD1. Live at The Park Hotel.

A 28minute punk pub ep sounds like it was recorded in 1977.A rambling drunken party by the sound of it. Shocking.

CD2. I'm not a terrorist.

A selection from videos, rehearsals and live.
Variable sound quality.

CD3. It's not hard.

Another selection from videos, rehearsals and live.
Variable sound quality.

CD4. Bob Breeks Sings Bad Terrorists.
One man, a guitar and some songs.

CD5. The Drug Co.
Debut. EP Featuring Tim Asprin and Alexandra Pill.
Songs of Headache and Heartbreak. An examination of the human condition. "Being Human Hurts".

All boxed sets come with a full song book
credits and info.

These are avaliable free from Bob. Just send your postal address and you can have a set. Contributions for cost are always welcome. But the real point here is to get the songs out. Things have moved very quicky.

BIG EVENT NO2.

It's a secret for now.
But it's going to be LIVE.
Stay posted.

IMPORTANT ANOUNCEMENT FROM OUR LEADER.

Bad Terrorists don't have any future gigs planned at present.
I am re-apprasing the band and its direction.
In less than a year we have gone from a self promoted gig with friends Jelly Bag at the Curve bar on East Hill to the Carling Academy in Islinton supporting Ron And Russell Mael. Sparks. Progress indeed.
I need to focus on recording some of the 40 songs that i've written and have performed live over the last year.
I will be recording three albums over the next four months.

"Accurate Music" will focus on the early songs of Bad Terrorists.
"3 times a day" will feature mid and later songs of Bad Terrorists.
"Headaches and Heartbreaks" the debt album from TheDrugCo.

The DrugCo. is the new project that i want to concentrate on.
Tim Asprin and Alexandra Pill specialising in Pain Relief.

So lots to do and much fun to be had.
So thanks to everyone who has given time to listening to Bad Terrorists live and checking out our videos on Youtube.
We managed to get Maybe Maybe Maybe banned on Youtube. Banned from play production in Colchester last August ("TERROR-THE MUSICAL").
So we must be doing something right heh?
Bad Terrorists will return.
You can be very sure of that.
We need to be here to be banned.
We will return to be banned

The Bad Terrorists are a three piece band.

We are Bob Breeks, Bruce Deacon and Barry Garnham.

We wear beards, (apart from Bob who prefers the clean shaven finish of a three blade razor),
and all of us suffering from androgenic alopecia,
we are not 25 years old with nice skin.
We sing songs about Transvestitism, Car bombs,
Joining the Army and Doggy Doos.

We have a loathing of bands that cover songs
especially tribute bands.
DEATH TO TRIBUTE BANDS

We don't care that you don't like our name.
We don't like it much either.
We are re-appropriating the word terrorist.

We sing about uncomfortable and odd subjects in a sometimes humorous way, little kids can sing our songs they are so catchy.

NEXT GIG

NO GIGS ON THE HORIZON

THE SPARKS SUPPORT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN A SWAN SONG.

old news

We just had a couple of emails about one of our video postings on You tube. " Abigail Ybarra"
The emails were from Abugail Ybarra's daughter and granddaughter. Who both wrote and said what a cool song it was. We have been invited to meet Abigail when we are next in California.
Pretty neat heh?
If I had known Abigail herself was ever going to be viewing the song,
I might have made a better effort at singing in tune.
Ho Hum.
We are humbled.

Bob is currently working on two projects.

The first is to get "Terror-the Musical" on stage this year
in a theatre. We are attempting to find a suitable venue
at present. Last years effort was thwarted by local conservative sensibilities, but we won't give up.

The second is the Robert Johnson songbook.
Most people who know anything about 20th Century music will have heard of Robert Johnson,
"The king of the delta blues singers" as the 1960's album proudly stated.
Even Eric Clapton has covered Robert Johnsons songs,
(extremely badly).
Now its Bad Terrorists turn.

Oh dear looks like we are turning into a covers band.
